Mélangeant les sonorités de la vague British Invasion aux influences post-punk, le tout premier EP de Your ex and I peint une fresque sonore ambitieuse, polie, et sombre bien que tout à fait dansante.

Ce quintet Montréalais ajoute des mélodies pop et des couleurs synthé années ’80 à des lignes de basse accrocheuses et des guitares endiablées aux saveurs indie. Mélangeant avec brio les instruments vintage et modernes, ce groupe offre une sonorité rafraîchissante bien que familière qui évoque aisément les Beatles, The Police, et les Arctic Monkeys.

Blending sounds of the British invasion with post-punk influences, Your ex and I’s debut EP is a well polished, dark, yet danceable, ambitious wall of sound.

This Montreal-based five-piece adds pop melodies and 80’s synth lines to fat bass hooks and driving indie guitars. Mixing vintage and modern instruments, the band delivers a familiar yet refreshing new sound that effortlessly channels the likes of The Beatles, The Police, and Arctic Monkeys.
